More off the wall

This is Shadow. I took several pictures of her ...well, actually MANY pictures of her; she is one active girl! As you can see, she's raring to go again! You may think you know what breed of dog she is but you'd be wrong! Or at least only partially correct. According to Kheegan, her owner, she is a Col-rot-shel-chow-pom! Obviously, she is of long and varied lineage!

It was a real pleasure to get to know and paint Shadow. The photographs were taken outside but I chose to put her in a neutral background to keep her the focal point.

OFF THE WALLS work already in collections

This is Bearlie; she belongs to my friend Debbie. Bearlie was the runt of the litter and she barely survived. She would have died had she not been lovingly hand fed for the first weeks of her life. She is now a happy, healthy 12 year old cat.
This painting was created using a favourite photo of Bearlie as a reference. How could I resist?
It is extrememly gratifying work, painting people's pets, both for me and the recipient. I observe the love and devotion between pet and pet owner and try to convey that through my painting. Then the owner has a meaningful, lasting remembrance of their pet.
